One of the most important things when it comes to a successful safari, is to have good guides. The guide and driver on the game drives is John Siololo, also known as Big John. John Siololo is a naturalist with more than 15 years experience from guiding in the Mara. He is a well known and sought after guide who knows the Maasai Mara as the inside of his pockets. John knows what it means to deal with professional and demanding wildlife photographers, and always work hard to give you the best opportunities to have your best shots whether it is from inside the car, or from the ground or on foot – from the early mornings to the late afternoons. In addition photographic guidance will be provided on all game drives from Andreas Hemb, award winning wildlife photographer.
On the basis of many years experience with wildlife photography in Africa, the vehicle we will have, a 4WD Toyota Landcruiser Long Edition, has been modified for the purpose giving the best working conditions for professional and other demanding nature photographers. For one thing this safari vehicle gives the photographer the opportunity to stay low to get strong and powerful low-angle shots of the wildlife.
All game drives are in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Having full control of our drives give the opportunity to photograph in the very best light. An additional off-road license have been provided to secure that game can be followed and the absolute best possible compositions and angles can be pursued.
